I love it, it basically means the big name players will actually get signed on July 1st, and I actually have a reason to watch free agent frenzy on TSN now.

if they can afford to give Weber that massive deal im pretty sure they can do the same with a lot less money for Subban.

Would the Flyers offer up Couturier for Subban, probably not. The Flyers have the depth of talent to offer up something that would cause Montreal to listen.

I have a feeling that Montreal has decided he is too much of a distraction and would move him if the right deal came along.

Eklund: New CBA Says There Will be a Week to Interview UFAs Prior To July 1According to a source, and I LOVE this idea, the NHL and NHLPA have agreed that players and teams will be allowed to talk openly with each other for one week prior to July 1st.

No way the Habs let him go for anything below value. No way they think they can afford to lose their best Dman.

I lied, there is a way. They did trade for Gomez and Kaberle afterall.

So when Mattiaus Ohlund signed with Tampa 10 minutes into the deadline, he had no previous communication with that organization..............whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?

What a crock. This happened all the time, just in "unoffical circles" that the CBA has no legal authority to control.

Pavel Datsyuk played his last KHL game in style, scoring this beauty in the shootout.
